Changtai Yangtze River Bridge in Jiangsu Province was co-built by CCCC. With a main span of 1.2km, it is the world’s largest-span cable-stayed bridge and the longest steel truss arch railway and highway bridge.
The project team developed an underwater soil testing robot to help with sinking large caissons in silty clay geology. Engineers also deployed a digital twin system to monitor and analyse construction conditions.
