Two Belgian construction companies have joined forces to win a US$22 million viaduct rehabilitation contract from the regional government of Wallonia in Belgium.
The contract to rehabilitate the Lambermont Viaduct in Verviers, eastern Belgium, was awarded by The Société Wallonne de Financement Complémentaire des Infrastructures (SOFICO) to a joint venture consisting of Besix and Galère.
The site’s project manager will be SPW Mobilité et Infrastructures.
The aim of the project is to improve the durability and safety of the girder bridge, which carries the E42 motorway.
