Freight trains presently have to wait at Smetanka Park near Liben railway station to cross the main line. The proposed bridge solution, which will cost around US$2 million, will reduce the sounds of trains stopping and starting. The bridge is part of a wider US$119 million rail modernisation project which brings double tracking to the city’s Malešice district.
