3-5 June 2013

Edinburgh, Scotland

Forth Road Bridge is delighted to introduce the 8th International Cable Supported Bridge Operators Conference and to formally invite proposals for papers.

The ICSBOC conference is unique in that it is the only event bringing together owners and operators of major bridges worldwide.

Held every three years, the conference is organised by the International Cable Supported Bridge Operators’ Association (ICSBOA). This association is made up entirely of owners and operators of cable supported bridges throughout the world.

The conference is being hosted in Edinburgh, Scotland’s capital city – the first time the event has been held in the UK.

As well as the chance to explore this beautiful city, ICSBOC delegates will have the unique opportunity to tour the Forth Road Bridge and the construction site of one of the world’s major new cable-stayed bridges, the Forth Replacement Crossing.

By June 2013 the new bridge’s three towers will be rising out of the Forth alongside the existing road and rail bridges, creating a location of unique attraction to engineers with three major bridges from three centuries.

Conference papers are invited on topics under the overall theme of maintaining and operating cable supported bridges. The technical panel looks forward to receiving your proposals and welcoming you to Scotland next year.
