The central arch of a new bridge over the River Main has been slid into position in Wiesen, Germany.
The arch is one of three for the 219m-long steel structure, which is part of Deutsche Bahn’s VDE8 Nuremberg-Berlin high-speed rail project.
The 1,025t section had to be moved 144m from its assembly area, freeing up space for the second arch to be assembled ready for installation next month.
