It has been built by Johnson Brothers to a design by Figg with Eisman & Russo providing inspection services.



The US$27.7 million bridge will carry SR 951 highway between Marco Island and the mainland and is part of a key hurricane evacuation route. It stands next to the existing Jolley Bridge and for the time being will carry traffic in both directions. Work will now take place on the approaches to the existing bridge, after which the new structure will be dedicated to southbound traffic only.
