Indian leaders and former astronaut Buzz Aldrin were yesterday among the first people to try out a spectacular new horseshoe-shaped glass-floored walkway jutting out 20m into Grand Canyon. The 100mm-thick glass deck of the Grand Canyon Skywalk enables visitors to look straight down to the canyon floor which which is more than 1,200m below. The official opening is on 28 March.
