A significant infrastructure contract has been awarded to Larsen & Toubro (L&T) for the construction of a key section of the Hyderabad Greenfield Radial Road. The scope of work includes a 22.3km access-controlled main carriageway with 3+3 lanes, a 3.6km viaduct, multiple minor bridges and several underpasses and culverts. Auxiliary infrastructure will feature service roads on both sides, retention walls, stormwater drainage systems, footpaths, cycle tracks and landscaping.

The project forms part of Phase-two and is located in the Ranga Reddy district, which is part of the Hyderabad metropolitan region in southern India. It was initiated by Hyderabad Growth Corridor, an agency under the Telangana government tasked with developing radial and ring roads to enhance connectivity across the Hyderabad metropolitan region.

The new radial road will serve as the first link between Hyderabad’s Outer Ring Road and the upcoming Regional Ring Road, designed to enhance connectivity and stimulate regional growth. Improved access to major hubs – including IT clusters, Electronic City, Young India Skills University, and Bharat Future City – is expected to boost economic development across the region. The project marks a major step toward strengthening the city’s transport network and supporting its rapid urban expansion.
