A project to install a dehumidification system on the cables of the Alvsborg Bridge in Gothenburg, Sweden, is set to begin next month (April). The contract was awarded to UK contractor C Spencer, which recently completed the installation of a similar system on the Humber Bridge a year ahead of schedule.

The work is being carried out for client Trafikverket, the Swedish Roads Authority, and under the supervision of the client's engineer Cowi.

The installation procedure on the 933m-long suspension bridge is expected to begin next month and be completed by August this year.
