Iran's president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad yesterday officially launched the construction of a bridge in the Persian Gulf.
The 2.2km bridge will connect Qeshm Island in the Persian Gulf to the port city of Bandar Abbas in Hormuzgan province.
The US$907 million project is designed to boost the economy and facilitate the movement of goods.
