The towers of a suspension bridge in Canada will be stripped down in a year-long project that includes inspection and repairs.

Macdonald Bridge over Halifax Harbour in Nova Scotia is used by more than 40,000 vehicles daily. During Project Lifespan, the two 103m towers will be wrapped to contain debris. The work on the Dartmouth tower will be completed this year, and the work on the Halifax Tower will be completed in 2026.

The province of Nova Scotia awarded the US$50.3 million contract for the painting work to the JV Liberty Blastech.
