Kuwait's Ministry of Public Works has said that tenders invited for the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Bridge project will be opened on 8 July.
The project involves construction of two sea bridges, with one linked to Subbiyah and the other to Doha.
The scheme will reduce the journey between Kuwait City and Subbiyah from 104km to just 37.5km.
