Construction of the Fourth Lao-Thai Mekong Friendship Bridge is expected to begin next month following the signing of an agreement by ministers representing the governments of Laos and Thailand.
An agreement has also been signed with CR5-KT Joint Venture Group to build the 480m-long bridge, which will link the Bokeo province in Laos with Chiang Rai province in Thailand. The bridge will form part of a transport corridor to China's Yunnam province.
Construction is expected to be completed within 30 months.
