The design has been likened to a Möbius strip or a Chinese knot.

The pedestrian bridge is one of the key projects within the Dragon King Harbor River scheme, part of the development of a district at the lake. Construction is scheduled to start next year.

“The construction with the intersecting connections is based on the principle of the Möbius ring,” said Next's Michel Schreinemachers. “On the other hand it refers to a Chinese knot that comes from an ancient decorative Chinese folk art,” added John van de Water.

The bridge connects various routes at different heights.
