The bridge crosses the Housatonic River to link Milford and Stratford. The contract awarded by the Walsh Construction Company and PCL Civil Constructors joint venture mandates Structal-Bridges to supply some 400 steel girders for the three bridges that are being built in the scope of the project.

The main bridge structure alone will require 360 girders with a depth of 2.9 m. The longest is 38.4m and the heaviest will weigh 40,823kg. The new bridge superstructure will be 914.4m in length with 14 spans.

Delivery of the steel components will begin in March 2012 and continue until May 2014.
