The Oklahoma Transportation Commission in the USA has approved an eight-year plan that includes more than US$1 billion for bridge construction.
Further structures will also be included in other road schemes under the overall programme for more than US$4 billion of bridge and highway work.
The plan includes replacement or major rehabilitation of more than 560 bridges.
