The concessionaire for Malaysia's Second Penang Bridge has announced that the project is 90% complete.
Concessionaire Jambatan Kedua Sdn Bhd (JKSB) said that the cable-stayed bridge is expected to open in early September 2013, with an official opening later that month as part of the celebrations of Malaysia's 50th anniversary.
Construction of the bridge's segmental box girder is 100 days ahead of schedule and should be completed by the end of January.
