Tianxingzhou Bridge will form part of the first section of the new Guangzhou-Wuhan high-speed rail line. The double-deck bridge will be over 4.6km long, with a main span of 504m. Trains will run on the lower deck while the upper level will carry a six-lane motorway.

Construction starts this month and is expected to take four years.

Systra will work in partnership with the China Academy of Railway Sciences. The team will be responsible for inspecting all the surveys carried out by local railway engineers and managing the supervision of works. A staff of about 20 people will be assigned to the project.
