Testing has been taking place of the lifting and lowering of the leaves of the Twin Sails Bridge in Poole in southern England.
The triangular lifting leaves symbolise the sails of a yacht, in recognition of the town's maritime heritage.
The bridge is being built by Hochtief to a design by Gifford (now part of Ramboll) and Wilkinson Eyre. Client for the scheme is the Borough of Poole.
