Both towers for the New Mississippi River Bridge have reached half of their eventual 122m height.

The towers for the bridge linking the US states of Missouri and Illinois are projected to be complete in late spring. Crews will then start placing the cables and the framework for the driving surface.
The entire Mississippi River Bridge project, including the relocated I-70, the Tri-Level Interchange in Illinois and the Missouri I-70 interchange is still on track to be open to traffic in early 2014.
