Two people were killed and 19 were injured by the collapse of a large section of flyover under construction in Belo Horizonte, one of the World Cup host cities in Brazil.
The concrete structure fell onto vehicles including a bus.
Cowan, the construction company building the flyover, said in a statement that it deeply regrets the incident and is sparing no efforts to support the victims and families. Teams have been directed to the site for removal of the structure and a technical team is in place to investigate the causes. Additional shoring has been provided for the second overpass on the project.
