The Archer Western-de Moya Joint Venture (AW-dMG) has beaten three other teams to win the contract, which involves three projects that will be built concurrently.
This P3 is a partnership between Florida Department of Transportation and Miami-Dade Expressway Authority (MDX) and involves improvements to the I-395, SR 836 and I-95 highways.
The winning team's signature bridge for the I-395 will feature six arches and is called the Fountain. It will feature the largest concrete segmental arch in North America.
The unsuccessful bidders were Fluor-Astaldi-MCM; a joint venture of Kiewit and Granite; and Miami Community Builders Joint Venture.
