Patroon Island Bridge carries the I-90 over the Hudson River between Rensselaer and Albany.

Patroon Island Bridge

The project involved rehabilitating the bridge and all the ramps of the I-90 interchange with I-787 at the western end of the bridge. Work included deck and bearing replacement, steel repairs and painting together with repairs and replacement of the substructures of the interchange. Other tasks included building new concrete piers to support the interchange ramps, as well as installing new traffic monitoring systems. New concrete barriers were installed on and between the bridges. Precast concrete deck panels were used to speed construction.
