Announcements made on Delaware schemes
Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission has announced the completion of a comprehensive study into transportation needs through to 2030 on and around the Milford-Montague Toll Bridge, the Delaware Water Gap (I-80) Toll Bridge, and the Portland-Columbia Toll Bridge. The study has developed a range of ideas to reduce traffic congestion, including widening concepts costing between US$490 million and US$630 million. DRJTBC has also announced the availability of construction bid documents for an estimated US$50 million of work on the Trenton-Morrisville Bridge rehabilitation. The commission has voted this week to award a contract for construction management and inspection services for the bridge. A US$7.9 million construction contract for another of DRJTBC's schemes has been awarded to JD Eckman for work on the Riverton-Belvidere Toll-Supported Bridge.
