Moxon Architects is leading the design of the project to bridge the River Dee to improve access from the highland town of Braemar to the Cairngorms mountains in the heart of Britain's largest and most remote national park. The client for the scheme is the company Braemar Community.

The 85m-long deck is suspended within a cable-net valley of inclined hangers. The catenaray cables are located beyond and outside the line of the deck at the abutments and meet the deck at midspan. The bridge has raking V-shaped pylons at either end. Its low-profile deck will be formed from which precast concrete units.

The planning application is expected to be submitted soon.
