The Government of Canada has named a joint venture as the provider of planning and design services on a bridge project in the nation’s capital city.
The JV, consisting of Parsons and Stantec, will support planning and design activities on the Eastern Bridge project as a technical adviser under a contract worth US$7.3 million. The JV will support Public Services and Procurement Canada, and the National Capital Commission with specialised expertise in technical areas, economic and environmental studies and impact assessments, while developing conceptual designs.
The need for a link between Gatineau and Ottawa has been under recommendation for the last decade to improve transport links and reduce congestion.
