A suspension bridge over the Yangtze River with a 1.7km main span now connects the centre of Nanjiang with Jiangbei New Area.

After five years of construction the Nanjing Xingshengwei Yangtze River Bridge in eastern China has opened to traffic, carrying six bi-directional expressway lanes. China Communications Construction Company reports that its total length is 13km and its concrete towers are 264m tall.
