Work has begun to build the Cua Dai Bridge over the River Thu Bon in Vietnam's Quang Nam province.
The bridge will be 1.48km long and will carry four lanes. Construction is expected to take 42 months.
It will form part of a coastal route to link key economic zones and provide an artery that could be used for evacuation in the event of natural disasters.
