A joint venture led by GPT Infrasprojects has won the contract, which was awarded by the Hooghly River Bridge Commissioners based in the transport department of the government of West Bengal.
The work includes replacement of bearings as well as stay and holding-down cables.
The contract has a value of approximately US$22 million.
