Contractors have already been chosen for both schemes. A consortium of Reliance Infrastructure and Astaldi was named in May for construction of the Bandra-Versova project under a contract worth about US$930 million (link opens in new tab). The new sea link will be built about 900m to 1,800m from the coast of Mumbai, linking the neighbourhoods of Versova and Bandra. It will stretch for a length of approximately 17.7km and will require the construction of complex works at sea. The main navigational span will take the form of a cable-stayed bridge.

Client for the work is the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC).

Larsen & Toubro was named in May as the lowest bidder for new bridge construction to add more lanes at Vashi Creek.
