The 110m-long arch and suspension bridge will stand 20m high and  be suspended over the inlet with a clearance of 5.2m from the water to allow boats to pass underneath.

The US$18.6 million bridge will connect new promenades, an island and a ferry terminal at Elizabeth Quay. The bridge is part of of a US$411 million scheme being delivered by Leighton Broad.

The bridge's design was announced in January.
