The new bridge at Cosmesti will be built by a joint venture of SA&PE Construct (leader) and Tehnostrade. The contract also includes a new structure over a rail line on a different route to the existing crossing.
The value of the contract is approximately US$32 million. Five months will be spent on design followed by a 19-month construction period. The contractor will then provide a 10-year warranty for the bridge.
