In Zhejiang province, placement of a 70m prefabricated box girder weighing more than 1,800t completed the main line of the Zhoushan-Daishan Bridge (below). The cross-sea bridge connects Zhoushan Island and the outlying Daishan Island and forms part of a project for the Port of Ningbo Zhoushan. The bridge is expected to open to traffic by the end of this year.
In South China's Guangdong province, the final stage of closure was reached for the Tiaoshun Bridge in Zhanjiang City. The 9.36km bridge (pictured below) links Tiaoshun Island and the Haidong New Area of Zhanjiang city.
