Pont y Ddraig - Dragon's Bridge - completes a 24km traffic-free cycle route in the area.

The sections of glass fibre reinforced polymer bridge deck either side of the 45m-tall mast can be raised to allow boats in and out of the harbour. The bridge features colourful lighting, enabling it to be seen from far afield after dark.

The design and build contract was carried out by the North Wales arm of the Swansea-based contractor Dawnus, in association with the Chester office of design engineer Gifford.

The project was funded by the Welsh Government, the  European Regional Development Fund, Sustrans, RWE, Big Lottery Fund and Denbighshire County Council.
