The Inter-American Development Bank has authorised a US$350 million loan to Ecuador as part of an agreed US$1 billion credit line for infrastructure work.
Work planned using the initial US$350 million loan includes construction of an additional bridge over the Babahoyo River, alleviating a bottleneck between the port city of Guayaquil and the Durán canton.
