Dubai’s Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) has endorsed the award of a contract for the first of three phases of the bridges and roads network of the Dubai Water Canal.
The first phase, awarded to the Turkish Jonal Company in a US$136 million contract, includes the construction of a bridge across the Sheikh Zayed Road passing above the waterway.
The second contract will also involve bridging the canal and the third includes four pedestrian bridges.
