The city's Community Redevelopment Agency is seeking a replacement for the existing SW 13th Street pedestrian overpass, which is described as outdated, unremarkable and uninviting. Design teams are invited to come up with a schematic design for the new bridge as part of the shortlist interview phase for the project.

The schematic designs are intended to embrace form and function; communicate the legacy of Gainesville's historic industrial rail corridors and convey the creativity and energy of a modern community.

The deadline is 3pm local time on 12 November and there is a non-mandatory pre-proposal conference on 21 October.
