Six people were injured yesterday in an incident involving a passenger lift at London's Tower Bridge. The lift is believed to have fallen 3m while carrying them up to the high-level walkways.
The six were taken to hospital, where injuries were found to include a broken leg and a suspected broken ankle.
The lift has a capacity of 40 and takes people visiting the Tower Bridge Exhibition to the high-level walkways, which are 40m above road level.
Ten people walked away uninjured.
