The Lowry Avenue Bridge is in Minneapolis, USA. Hennepin County began the design process for the bridge in 2007, ahead of closing the old bridge in 2008 due to known structural issues. The new tied arch bridge, whose main span length is 137m and total length is 274m, crosses the Mississippi River upstream from downtown Minneapolis.

The SRF/TYLI team conducted studies into the bridge type and then assisted the owner in the final selection of a basket-handle steel arch bridge, which was designed to keep construction costs to a minimum. The team also provided the county with assistance during the construction phase, including breaking up the project into phases to accommodate funding issues.
