The Mumbai Trans Harbour Link will connect Sewri in the island Greater Mumbai and Nhava on the mainland.  The project will include approach roads, viaducts in the inter-tidal zone, a bridge across the harbour and interchanges at Sewri and Chirle.

The winning consultancy or consortia will examine the various options for the sea link as well as road an metro connections on the island and mainland.

There were attempts in the past to invite the bids in 2004 on BOT basis and in 2008 as a design and build contract. In 2009, it was decided to implement the project on a PPP basis.

Proposals have to be in by 15 June. Details from http://www.mmrdamumbai.org
