Miebach marked the opening of a pedestrian and cycle crossing over the Borgsloot by bringing the neighbourhood together for brunch at tables along the bridge.

The 40.5m structure at Groningen in the north of the Netherlands is a timber-concrete composite system with massive glulam beams and a reinforced concrete deck. Built for the town of Groningen and InVraplus, the substructures were planned by Boorsma and constructed by Friso, while the timber sections were designed by Miebach and constructed by Schaffitzel Holzindustrie and Schwäbisch Hall.
