A new 11.2km crossing of the Yangtze River has opened in Anhui province in east China.
The Maanshan Yangtze River Bridge has cost some US$1.1 billion to build. The overall length of the scheme is more than 36km, including the 11.2km main section over the river. It links two counties of Maanshan City and will also connect with a planned highway between Maanshan and Hefei.
