New York State Department of Transportation has announded a public hearing into a proposed scheme to replace the 938m-long Batchellerville Bridge over Great Sacandaga Lake. A draft design report and environmental assessment has been prepared for the project. The replacement is needed as vehicles over 15t are prohibited from crossing the existing 77-year-old bridge.
