Nordec and Haehre have signed contracts with Skanska for a challenging project in North of Norway to construct and install steel structures for 11 bridges.
Skanska’s client Statens Vegvesen, the state highways authority, requires 11 crossings, ranging in weight from 50 tons to 360 tons that will be exposed to demanding saltwater conditions. The project sees the creation of a new route, including tunnels and bridges, that will reduce travel times in the region.
The steel structures will be made from grades 355N and NL/460 M and ML. They will be finished with Processkode System 1 & System 2 painting systems, which are suited for structures that will be exposed to saltwater.
Nordec will complete six bridges and Haehre will complete five. The structural design is by Multiconsult & AAS-Jakobsen.
