Belfast City Council has named its chosen design team for an iconic and high-quality moveable active travel bridge.
The team, consisting of consulting engineer Arup and bridge designer Knight Architects will work with Eadon Consulting (mechanical and electrical engineering) and Cumming Group (cost consultancy). It will make its recommendation for a preferred Sailortown Bridge option later this year.
The opening bridge will connect historic Sailor Town with the regenerated Titanic Quarter while allowing navigation of the River Lagan in Belfast, the capital of Northern Ireland.
