Panama’s Minister of Public Works José Luis Andrade reports that the construction of the Fourth Bridge over the Panama Canal is resuming after the end of strike action.
The cable-stayed bridge was due for completion in 2023, but the project stalled over a design change, and was further delayed by strike action that started at the end of April.
The project is being carried out by the Panama Consortium of the Fourth Bridge over the Panama Canal (CPCP), which consists of China Communications Construction Company and China Harbor Engineering Company. TyLin is the owner’s engineer (link opens in new tab).
The completion date for the bridge is 2028.
