Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has announced a fast-track project to replace the Charleroi-Monessen Bridge.
The 103-year-old bridge was closed in February after an inspection revealed dangerous deterioration.
The 570m-long three-span truss bridge will be replaced under a design and build contract, with the aim of completing it by the end of 2011.
