The 110m-long arched pedestrian bridge will span the entrance of the Elizabeth Quay and create a distinctive feature for the waterfront precinct.

Planning Minister John Day said that the link will provide an important link between the cafes and bars on the promenades, the precinct’s island and the new ferry terminal. It is part of a US$382 million development of the area.

The bridge has a width of 5m - designed to be generous enough for cyclists and pedestrians - and will sit 5.2m above the water, allowing most boats to pass underneath.
