Preliminary investigations by Ghana's Ministry of Transportation have indicated that an 8km-long bridge is required over the Oti River. Minister Godfrey Tangu Bayon said in Parliament that the bridge would be the country's longest.
However, a lack of funds means that there are no immediate plans for construction of the bridge which would link Dambai to Northern Ghana.
