An 800t bridge has been launched over the River Esk to carry the southbound carriageway of an extension to the M6 motorway in in north west England.
The 180m-long bridge has been launched in two stages, starting in May and concluding this week. Bridging the river marks completion of a key stage in a US$344 million project to link the motorway system from Glasgow to southern England.
